With easy access and a prime location on the outskirts of Belfast, we believe that Forestside Cookery School is the perfect venue for your own bespoke event.
It's perfect for work team building, family events such as birthdays & milestones, or simply the hen or stag who wants a pre-event before their big day. We can accommodate parties from 10-24. The space can be booked for a team meeting before or after the class, too.
The school will be all yours, and our team will be with you every step of the way. We will help you choose your own special menu from one of our many themes, including Spanish Tapas, Asian Street Food, Pasta, making the Perfect Steak, The Great Forestside Bake Off to Delicious Donuts. We can cover many styles of food to suit your needs.
Alternatively, we can provide Chef's demo and tasting sessions, where you can sit back and relax and let our fantastic Chef do all the work for you, or you can simply rent our beautiful space for the day.
You’ll have endless homemade lemonade and can retire to our beautiful dining room to eat your creations with a complimentary glass of chilled bubbly.

"Fantastic day out, great for team building."
I went to the donut making class with my work and I've never been to a cooking class before, but this definitely sets the bar high for any I might go to in the future!
It's located in Forestside Shopping Centre on past Sainsbury's - I thought it would have been just a small unit in the main part of the mall but to my lovely surprise it was on up in a seperate larger unit at the back and up the lift.
The staff were brilliant with everyone - so kind, respectful and helpful during the whole process. Every ingredient for the donut making was measured and set out for us, so all we had to do was follow the step-by-step guide on the sheet. I didn't see the time (it was a 2-3 hour session) go in at all and was very relaxed during the whole process. Really nice after a difficult few weeks personally. People even said I looked to be in my element!
Chef Jeffers was amazing in giving us demonstrations the whole way through, and if there was something we weren't sure about or needed help with, he was never too far away with a smile and a joke to help us out. We got lots of tips on how to prove our dough and in making some yummy caramel sauce!
Shoutout to the rest of the staff too running around to get us ingredients, equipment, and everything set up! But there was nothing hectic or chaotic about the process - a really well oiled machine.
It was lovely to be able to chat and work with colleagues outside of our day-to-day jobs and have a little bit of craic in the meanwhile! Everyone, even the ones who weren't really bakers or cooks, had a fantastic time.
And we didn't come away without our donuts! We had around 12 to bring home - really nice to bring home for others to try and feel proud of what you made. They did only last a day due to them being made without additives and other things used to keep donuts longer from supermarkets, but far nicer than the shop bought ones for real!
If you're on the fence about going to a cookery class or worried you won't be able to do it, I would say to go and give it a go. I came away with more confidence that I could make this at home myself and found it was another lovely way of relaxing and taking my mind off things. I must make some over Christmas for everyone! Many thanks to Chef Jeffers and the team again for a wonderful day out!!!

Went to the cookery school for a hen party in November. Absolutely fantastic experience....could not rate it highly enough. Chef Jeffers makes the whole experience, as do his friendly and helpful assistants. It was great fun and we got to make beautiful tapas dishes and sat together at the end to eat all the treats we had made. The instructions were easy to follow after we were given a demo and at no point did we feel overwhelmed. An excellent experience for novice or experienced cooks alike. Defo worth a visit. Hope to go back soon :)
"Great Night's Craic"
Ten work colleagues had a great night making beautiful food with Chef Jeffers. Laid back atmosphere but efficient and well planned evening. We made 2 flavours of risotto and tiramisu, but he can cater for most requirements. You don't need to have great cooking skills and we all learnt something in a relaxed and fun way. You then get to eat your culinary fare onsite. A different night out for friends or family.
